The Gladstone 200 Campaign

2009 marked the bicentennial of the birth of William Gladstone. The Gladstone 200 Campaign is one of the ways in which this event is being celebrated. The Campaign was launched in the Fall of 2008 and has an overall goal of $2.5 million.

The Gladstone 200 Campaign aims to:

  • Build a new Reading Room focusing on Islamic Studies ($1,000,000)
  • Build a  Resource Center for Religious Education ($500,000)
  • Enhance and supplement existing Islamic Collection and Religious Education material ($200,000)
  • Provide the salary of an Assistant Librarian for 5 years ($300,000)
  • Support the Library’s commitment to training graduate librarians for 5 years ($200,000)
  • Refurbish bedrooms, providing en-suite facilities ($300,000).
